Some guidelines for this Weblog

As a web logger, you can post comments to this site. People are able to view the comments. I will try to update the site with any submissions which are newsworthy, provide additional insight or are informational and useful to the readers at large.

One of the goals of this web log site is to continue to provide updates on where and how to donate. If you see a link on the right column, please do not resubmit that organization's link, unless you have some useful information to pass along (ie: if a particular organization is being very effective in reaching the affected areas, an update on a routing number for banks/donations, etc.) If there are organizations or groups which do not have established websites, you can send them in the comment or email them on this weblog site.

It would be very useful to provide us any updates and feedbacks if you have any direct contact with people on the 'ground' who are working with mobilzing the aid efforts. Friends or family who may be involved onsite will have a better understanding of the immediate and long term needs. If there is anything in particular they are looking for - more funds, in kind donations, heavy equippment, please post and hopefully the needs can continue to be met.
